The Lotus Flower
The lotus flower grows in murky waters & rises up out of the mud to bloom on the top of the water. Each day the flower opens with the rising sun & closes at sunset submerging under the water. The next day the petals emerge clean as they have an outer layer that repels the dirt & mucky water. These plants can survive harsh conditions of freezing ice or extreme heat and have survived for thousands of years.
